    ​Dr. Charles A. Charbonneau

    Dr. Charles A. Charbonneau is a Board Certified Doctor of Optometry.  He grew up in Oscoda, Michigan and attended Ferris State University, graduating in 2004 with his OD degree.  He then joined the United States Navy, and served as an officer and Optometrist in Okinawa, Japan, Jacksonville, FL and Rota, Spain.

    ​Dr. Mary Charbonneau

    Dr. Mary Charbonneau was born in St. Petersburg, FL as a fifth generation Floridian. She graduated from Wake Forest University in North Carolina with a Bachelors degree in Psychology and Pre-Med. She went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, FL. She then completed her residency at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Johnson City, TN through Southern College of Optometry. As an active member of the American Optometric Association, she currently serves on the Florida Optometric Eye Health Fund board of directors, and is a past president of the Northeast Florida Optometric Society. She created and taught a certification course for Paraoptometrics through the Florida Community College in Jacksonville, FL. She has participated in 6 eye health mission trips to Central and South America with Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity, a group that works with Rotary International and Lions Clubs to provide eye exams and glasses to those in need.

    She comes from a long line of Optometrists, having 6 other ODs and an optician in her family practicing in Florida. She has a special interest in ocular disease diagnosis and management, surgical comanagement, specialty contact lenses and ocular surface disorders. She also enjoys seeing patients of all ages, including small children and the geriatric population. She is currently chief of the Optometry Dept. at Community Health Northwest Florida.

    Dr. Mary Charbonneau is married to Dr. Charles Charbonneau, both Optometrists, and they have four children. Their daughter Allison was born in Jacksonville, FL and their son Logan was born in Rota, Spain. They were stationed there with the United States Navy until they moved to Pensacola in April 2011. Daughters Olivia and Elaina were born here. The family now lives in Lillian, Alabama.
